The democrats have convinced John Boccieri to vote in favor of the health bill. He along with more than 30 democrats had previously opposed the bill in November last year. He said that she has decided to support the bill because the revised version has addressed to her serious reservations about the bill. John Boccieri had opposed the bill because he was facing public pressure in his rather conservative constituency. The Ohio citizens are opposing the funding for abortion proposed by the bill and boycotted the rally for supporting the bill. John Boccieri’s support for the bill might damage public support for him for the next elections but he said that he was more concerned about the ‘right things to be done’.

The conservatives think that the bill will have adverse affects on small businesses and will enlarge the federal deficit. Obama administration has revised the bill to remove the reservations of the congressmen in order to get it passed. Govt. is finding it difficult to get support for the bill because the republicans and some of the democrats think that the bill will eat up the other heads in federal spending.

The Democrats had posted the text of the revised bill on web for public review and support giving the Republicans a chance to compile their version before the voting. The republicans had demanded a fresh discussion from zero on the controversial bill but Obama is determined to get it passed even if he has to use the public option.

The democrats need 216 votes to pass the health care legislation.
