George Hennard was again remembered in Fort Hood, Texas, after about 18 years of his massacre when a similar incident as of Hennard’s tool place on 5th October in Fort Hood, Texas, resulting into murder of 11 people and it injured a lot others when an ‘army’ psychiatrist openly fired at people.

George Hennard’s incident which is well known as Luby’s massacre took place in Killeen, Texas, USA on October 16, 1991. It was a mass murder incident by George Jo Hennard when he drove his truck (Ford Ranger pickup) into the Luby’s Cafeteria and opened his fire while shooting and killing 23 people at the spot and wounding other 20 people and afterward committed suicide. George Hennard entered through the cafeteria’s front window and while yelling ‘This is what ‘Belton’ did to me ‘opened his fire on staff and patron of the restaurant with his ‘Glock 17′ pistol initially and then with his ‘Ruger P89′. There were about ‘80′ people in the restaurant at that time. Dr. Michael Griffith, veterinarian, became his first victim who stood up to offer his assistance to the truck when it entered through window.

George Hennard left a four years old child and her mother and given them a chance to leave. It was reported that he had enough ammunition with him at that time which allowed him to reload his guns for several times and there also left ammunition when he shoot dead himself.

The incident of the 5th November (yesterday) has some important similarities with that of Luby’s massacre. The person in this incident, Nidal M. Hasan used two pistols as of Hennard. However the detailed reasons of this shooting are unclear yet.
